There’s nothing coaches like more than to see athletes succeed, to do something they’ve never been able to do before. Like getting a double-under, or, as Anne Thompson recently did, a kipping pullup. I wasn’t there to see it this morning, but a report on TheChive.com is claiming that our very own Chris Duignan, who won the winter weight loss challenge, completed today’s insanely hard Open WOD by doing his 10, 12 and 14 rep rounds of pullups without any assistance. No band. This is fairly huge, and Chris has a lot to be very proud of. He put a ton of hard work into that, and to see him cranking them out must have been quite a sight. So, as they say in Ireland, or in bars across the Upper West Side, Slainte, Chris.
